“I have a photo of me taken at the end of the 85/86 season, the year we won the city, provincial and Atlantic championships. We went through the full regular season undefeated, only to lose the first two games of our playoff round to Clarenville before rebounding to take the series 3 games to 2. If memory serves, I believe we beat the Jr 50’s for the city championship, with the provincials in Corner Brook and the Atlantics in P.E.I. I was a MUN student back then and had to do some fancy talking to professors to get some of my finals rescheduled to go to P.E.I… good times for sure. As you can see by the photo, we did ok that year.”
